  Phil Simon Systems SUPPRESSING VALUES IN A CRYSTAL REPORT   Suppressing Values  One of the most powerful features in Crystal resides in its ability to exclude data based on meeting or notmeeting certain conditions. The benefit here is twofold: 1. the speed of a report with a table linked onlyonce is far superior to the same report with the table linked twice or more; 2. visually, it’s much simpler tolook at and join a minimal number of tables.Let’s look at an example from the PAYDEDUCTN table. The following parameters have been created:  Phil Simon Systems SUPPRESSING VALUES IN A CRYSTAL REPORT   Report asks for these fields but does not filter on them (see select expert).Design view of report shows groupings – MTD, QTD, etc. Here is where we can suppress data that donot meet the previous-entered  Phil Simon Systems SUPPRESSING VALUES IN A CRYSTAL REPORT   Section expert shows that values are suppressed if they do not meet the user-entered value on thereport:  Phil Simon Systems SUPPRESSING VALUES IN A CRYSTAL REPORT   See red.
